Emergency Contacts

Received a message like this? “!SILENTALARM! PLEASE SEND POLICE HERE IMMEDIATELY:”

You should CALL THE POLICE and tell them the sender’s location from the message, a description of them and any other relevant information. They are in urgent need of help.

If you have received a message informing you that you are an emergency contact, you may in the future be required to contact the police on behalf of the user of Silent Alarm, in the event of an emergency.

In the event of an emergency you will receive a message from the user with their location. It includes their latitude and longitude, and if available, their approximate address. You should send the police to this location, and if you want to, go to the location yourself, but always make sure to call the police first.

Depending on the user’s preferences, you may receive update messages with the user’s updated location. These updates may arrive 30 seconds or 1, 2, or 3 minutes after each other.
